Vice President, Ukrainian Neurosurgical Association (UNA)
Mykhailo Khyzhnyak is a Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Honored Doctor of Ukraine, Head of the Department of Minimally Invasive and Laser Neurosurgery, the Romodanov Neurosurgery Institute, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Since 2012, has been a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
Main fields of scientific research: development and implementation of modern minimally invasive surgical technologies for spine pathology.
Has taught 4 Ph.D. (Medicine) graduates, authored 5 monographs and about 200 research papers. For many years, has been a member of the educational programs support group: specialty 222, Medicine – Neurosurgery, responsible for training doctors of philosophy; member of a postgraduate studies admission committee and a committee responsible for review of intermediate and final research study reports.
