On January 13, 2024, an important event for the medical neurosurgical community took place!<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

At a meeting of the staff meeting of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, a decision was made to introduce a 6-year residency in neurosurgery starting in 2024.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
This decision was preceded by extremely active and long-term joint work of the Department of Medical Personnel, Education and Science of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Department of Neurosurgery of the National Institute of Health of Ukraine named after P.L. Shupyk and the Ukrainian Neurosurgical Association.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Minister of Health of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko<\/a>, supported the provision of residency in neurosurgery.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Department of Neurosurgery (head of the department – professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine Mykola Polishchuk<\/a>)<\/div>\n
a 6-year residency training program for neurosurgeons was developed in accordance with European standards.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The residency will become a pilot project of modern postgraduate education in our country.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The training will be held at the Department of Neurosurgery of the Ukrainian National University Hospital named after P.L. Shupyk, the bases of the educational process will be the State University “Institute of Neurosurgery named after A.P. Romodanova and neurosurgical departments certified by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We hope that this important event will be the beginning of active development of postgraduate education of doctors in neurosurgery and will strengthen the neurosurgical service of Ukraine.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Shupyk and the Ukrainian Neurosurgical Association. The Minister of Health of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko, supported the regulations on residency in neurosurgery. The Department of Neurosurgery (head of the department - professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine Mykola Polishchuk) developed a program for training neurosurgeons in a residency for 6 years, respectively to European standards. The residency will become a pilot project of modern postgraduate education in our country. The training will be conducted at the Department of Neurosurgery of the National Institute of Health of Ukraine named after P.L. Shupyk, the bases of the educational process will be the State University \"Institute of Neurosurgery named after A.P. Romodanova and neurosurgical departments certified by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. We hope that this important event will be the beginning of the active development of post-graduate education of doctors in neurosurgery and will strengthen the neurosurgical service of Ukraine.
